About Us

Gil Bender, MD is a Board Certified specialist in Obstetrics, Gynecology and Gynecological Surgery. He has been in practice for 20 years. He received his BA at Cornell University in New York, His MD degree at Chicago Medical School in Chicago, and completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia. Dr. Bender is a Diplomate of the American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology.

He served as Chief-of-Staff of Downey Regional Medical Center for two years, and Chairman of Obstetrics & Gynecology for 6 years, as well as a member of the Medical Executive Committee for 15 years.

Dr. Bender specializes in gynecological surgery, minimally Invasive surgery, vaginal surgery and rejuvenation, menopausal management and high risk obstetrics. He also does low risk obstetrics, pre-conceptual counseling, family planning, and the full range of Obstetric and Gynecological services. He has performed hundreds of laparoscopic, minimally invasive and vaginal procedures.

Dr. Bender has 5 wonderful staff members: Lynda Krant, RN, Rita Cooper, MA, Debbie Pasag, MA, Susan Arias and Justine Gonzales, who are there to help the patients with all their needs.
